The Foundation is dedicated to the life and spirit of Ryan William Owens and his passion and love for friends, family, community, and life. Though Ryan was with us just 18 short years, if one measured his life based on his character, optimism, joy and humor, compassion for doing what was right, and in his love for God, family, and neighbor, Ryan’s life was exceptional.  However, we are left to ponder what other wonders would have come from Ryan had he not left us so prematurely?  Realizing how a single choice at a point in time can have immeasurable and tragic consequences, the Foundation’s efforts are focused on providing accessibility to this and other programs to promote good decision making in each and every critical moment of our existence.

MISSION

The Ryan William Owens Foundation and RWO Program, established in 2008, serves to provide a network of resources, individuals, and voices of advocacy to assist young adults in situations of crisis management. We recognize that responsible decision-making is core to each facet of our lives.

This Web site provides the following: access, contact and information regarding the Ryan William Owens Foundation (RWO Program and Ryan William Owens OHS Scholarship Fund); opportunities to get involved and engaged in proactive activity and advocacy; connections to community and professional resources in crisis management; a candid glimpse of Ryan’s journey through his and other contributed writings; and an interactive opportunity to share your personal insights and experiences.

The Ryan William Owens Foundation is composed of people who care and are concerned about the lives that we all touch. Originally developed by the parents of Ryan William Owens, the Foundation is an outgrowth of their mission to share Ryan’s life and tragic death and to provide a platform and resources to assist others in situations of crisis management.
